Winemakers comments The grapes are from an old block of unirrigated bush-vines in Malmesbury. The yield was extremely low, and the fruit very good quality. Food Suggestions Sauvignon Blanc is a great lunch time wine. Serve well chilled with Gazpacho, pan fried chicken breast with mushroom cream sauce, Linguini Alfredo or a nice selection of cold meats, salads and cheeses, particularly goats milk cheese. Colour Pale straw. Palate Good varietal flavours, long finish. Aroma Intense gooseberry and nettle. Cellaring The wine is drinking well right now, and should develop over the next year or two.
