Roodeberg is KWV International’s classic red wine and South Africa’s most celebrated blend. It is a distinctive and skilful blend of noble red grape varietals, selected from leading vineyards in the Western Cape and presented beautifully in New World wine style. This wine enjoys as much popularity today as it did 50 years ago, when it was first created, and hence is a true blueprint of KWV’ s ablility to maintain standards and pleasure palates time and time again. Roodeberg, formerly known as Rodeberg, means "red mountain" and is named after the magnificent hue of the Boland moutains at sunset. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Attractive burgundy colour. An inviting, complex nose of berries, with a hint of green pepper and spice, lead to blackberry and chocolate flavours on the palate. Full-bodied with good tannin structure, this wine can be enjoyed young and has excellent maturation potential. SERVING SUGGESTION: Ideal with red meats, ranging from stews and casseroles, to roasts and steaks or with strong, ripe cheeses.
