Vintage Conditions Above average winter rainfall led into a promising vintage, which was characterised by mild conditions up until February, followed by hot weather conditions throughout March and April. Coonawarra faired well with some rainfall and a naturally cooler climate ultimately producing wines of elegance and intensity. Alc/Vol: 13.5% Peak Drinking: Now - 2006 Colour: Vibrant cherry red with purple highlights. Nose: The nose shows great varietal character with cassis, dark cherry aromas and hints of mint. Subtle notes of cedarwood and tobacco complete the offering. Palate: Rich cassis and dark cherry aromas follow from the nose onto the palate supported by more lifted mint and cut grass notes. The finish is long and supple with soft tannins and gentle oak flavours.
