NUVIANA TEMPRANILLO/CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2004 #16236

SPAIN VALLE DEL CINCA NUVIANA TEMPRANILLO – CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2004 65% Tempranillo - 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are principally from 10-year-old vines, with a small percentage from young vines, grown under the most modern methods of vineyard management, which have been modified in deference to the environment. Each of the varieties is fermented separately in self-emptying stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 28-30ºC. They are clarified, filtered and cold stabilized. Six months in new American oak barrels. After ageing the wines are blended to highlight the characteristics of each component. Alcohol by volume................................ 12.7º Total acidity (tartaric).......................... 5.22 gr/l Dry extract........................................ 31.5 gr/l Deep cherry colour, with slight hints of crimson. Intense aroma of red berries. Spicy, toasted characters. Red and black fruit flavours are evident together with a hint of oak.
