Peter Lehmann Barossa Botrytis Semillon 2001 #16203
Peter Lehmann Barossa Botrytis Semillon 2001

Peter Lehmann Noble Semillon is a sweet wine of amazing freshness, wonderful flavour and tantalising complexity.

Colour: Vibrant burnished gold with green tinges.
Bouquet: A golden-amber pungency of dried pears, citrus and apricots lifted with superb botrytis characters.
Palate: Marmalade and apricots on the palate with a wonderful complex spiral of luscious sweetness balanced by crisp acidity. A perfectly balanced noble style.
Fruit Source: Selected Barossa Valley vineyards including the Peter Lehmann River Flat Semillon vineyard.
Vintage: Patience was rewarded with excellent conditions for the development of botrytis in the selected Semillon vineyards, picked on the 31st of May.
Cellaring: Noble Semillon is a style which cellars well. Over time the colour deepens and the complex lusciousness intensifies. The cork willing, this wine can be cellared with confidence up to 20 years.

Alc/Vol: 11.8%

Serving Suggestions: Not just a dessert wine, Peter Lehmann Noble Semillon is a remarkably versatile style and perfect companion to many occasions. A knock-out wine to accompany an indulgent breakfast of eggs, smoked salmon and crispy bacon, or, a sensational aperitif with creamy paté. Happily enjoyed with most desserts, Noble Semillon is especially scrumptious with poached pears & fresh cream, a lemon sponge cake or Christmas pudding.
