Peter Lehmann Barossa Chenin Blanc 2004 #16185
Peter Lehmann Barossa Chenin Blanc 2004

Peter Lehmann Wines is the leading Barossa producer of Chenin Blanc, a very special, yet relatively unknown white wine variety.
The Chenin Blanc vineyards from which Peter Lehmann Wines sources its fruit were planted in the mid to late 1970’s. The maturity of the vines, now over 30 years old, gives the winemakers fruit of outstanding quality.
Top quality Chenin Blanc has delicious aromatic fruit characters and a wonderful clean steely acid. It is a very refreshing white wine style and perfect for lazy summer sipping. Well made, from low production vineyards, Chenin Blanc, like great Riesling is capable of developing superbly in the bottle.
The 2004 Peter Lehmann Barossa Chenin Blanc has been bottled using the Stelvin closure to maximise freshness and quality.

Colour: Clear light lemon with pale green tinges.
Bouquet: A lifted aroma with beautiful scents of fresh Granny Smith apple juice.
Palate: Deliciously clean, crunchy fresh fruit flavours on the palate, with a refreshingly crisp, almost rapier-like finish.
Fruit Sources: A small number of selected mature Barossa vineyards.

Alc/Vol: 11.5%

Serving Suggestions: Serve lightly chilled. When youthful, its crunchy grape flavours are an ideal accompaniment to fresh seafood and dishes such as Asian chicken salad. An excellent wine to counterbalance excessively rich creamy seafood sauces.
