The 2001 vintage was the best growing season the Mount Barker region has witnessed in several years. A very warm, dry summer was followed by warm to moderate temperatures throughout autumn allowing near perfect ripening conditions for fruit. Colour: ****** Deep brick red hues. Aroma: ****** Wild berries with savoury overtones and subtle hints of cedary oak. Palate: ****** Rich and vibrant fruit flavours of brambleberries and raspberries fill the palate. This is followed by savoury overtones which are perfectly balanced with subtle oak. The finish is soft and subtle.
