Vintage Conditions Light, regular rain during the early growing season resulted in moderate crop levels and an early harvest. Although warm conditions during January hastened ripening, a mild and dry finish to the season preserved varietal fruit flavours and resulted in excellent conditions at harvest. The fruit for this wine is sourced from our premium vineyards in South Australia and New South Wales. Harvest Date: March to May 1999 Bottling Date: January 2001 onwards Alcohol: 13.1% ALC/VOL Total Acid: 6.4 g/L pH: 3.55 Bouquet: Ripe blackcurrant, cherry, plum and leafy mint combined with subtle vanillin oak. PALATE Medium to full-bodied with typical berry fruit and fine Cabernet Sauvignon tannins balanced by the fleshy fruit and generous plum flavours of Merlot.
