Vintage Conditions Light, regular rain during the early growing season resulted in moderate crop levels and an early harvest. Although warm conditions during January hastened ripening, a mild and dry finish to the season preserved varietal fruit flavours and resulted in excellent conditions at harvest. The fruit for this wine is sourced from our premium vineyards in South Australia and New South Wales. Harvest Date: February to April, 1999. Bottling Date: January 2001 onward. Alcohol: 13.4% ALC/VOL Total Acid: 6.05 g/L pH: 3.55 Colour: Medium crimson red with purple hues. Bouquet: Ripe spicy plum and berry fruit coupledwith vanillin American oak. Palate: Generous plum, ripe berry and licorice fruit flavours with chocolate oak influences. Typically rich but soft structure displaying fine integrated tannins and great length.
