Yalumba Shiraz 2002 #16140

The 2002 vintage was exemplary. The weather remained mild and dry over the long ripening period, with January presenting the lowest fay temperatures on record. The result is a wine with great colour, varietal flavours and intensity. Its nose abounds with licorice and plum, ripe black currant jams, cracked peppers and spicy cloves. Yalumba Y Series Shiraz 2002 is a medium-bodied, fruit-driven wine that shows palate texture and richness and finishes with soft, supple tannins. This wine drinks well now but also will reward short to medium-term cellaring.
